Frequently asked questions
What are the health benefits of drinking lemon water?
Lemon water is hydrating and provides vitamin C, which supports the immune system. It can also help with digestion and improve your skin health.
Can lemon water help with weight loss?
While lemon water is low in calories and can be a healthier alternative to sugary drinks, there's no conclusive evidence that it directly causes weight loss.
Is it better to drink lemon water warm or cold?
This recipe is for cold lemon water. Hot water with lemon is best for colds or sore throats, but you don't need to infuse it first – just squeeze some lemon into a mug of hot water.

Storing
You can store your lemon water in a large pitcher in the fridge or in mason jars if you're adding different flavourings. I prefer the mason jar method because then all you have to do is grab your drinks from the fridge and they even have lids on them for easy transport. It will last in the fridge for about 5 days, but if you're adding other fruits and flavours, I'd recommend drinking it within 3 days.
Meal prep tools for this recipe
- My go-to for filtered water is this Brita pitcher.
- Grab some extra filters for your Brita pitcher.
- I love to use mason jars to let the flavours in the water mingle for longer since they come with lids.
