Recipe tips

Follow these tips to get the best smoothie every time:

  • Use frozen avocado: This will give you the thickest and creamiest smoothie.
  • Adjust the consistency: For a thinner smoothie, add more coconut milk.
  • Switch up the greens: Sneak in more veggies by adding in some kale.
  • Make it a bowl: Turn it into a smoothie bowl with all your fave toppings.

Frequently Asked Questions

What fruit mixes well with avocado?

Avocado tastes good with just about any fruit since it has a milder flavour. I personally like to pair it with bananas and mango.

Is this smoothie good for you?

Yes! You'll get healthy fats and potassium from the avocados, lots of nutrients from the spinach, and protein from the protein powder.

Can you make it dairy free?

To make this smoothie dairy-free, swap out the whey protein powder for chia seeds or hemp hearts.

Storing and prepping your smoothies

There are two different ways you can prep your smoothies:

  • Store it in the fridge: Store it in a mason jar for 3 days. Give it a good shake or reblend before serving.
  • Make a freezer pack: Add the avocado, banana, mango and spinach to a Ziploc and freeze for 3 months. Dump it into the blender with the milk and protein powder, then blend!
