Recipe tips & variations
Here are some of my top tips for making this dolce latte recipe:
- Froth the milk: This is key to making the best latte! I'd highly recommend using a milk frother, but if you don't have one, you can heat up the milk in the microwave then shake it in a mason jar.
- Use strong coffee: Espresso is key for making lattes, but if you don't have any or you're not a fan of the taste, you can use strong brewed dark roast coffee. Just keep in mind it will be a slightly different flavor.
- Make an iced latte: Make this latte with cold milk and serve it over ice for a summer-friendly version. You could also try using cold brew instead of espresso.
- Try different syrups: The homemade cinnamon syrup is what makes this drink so delicious, but you could swap out the cinnamon for pumpkin pie spice instead.
